Gaillac · Tarn · up to 6 guests
A 120 m² 18th-century wine cellar (chai), a pool open from May to September, and 3 hectares of vines with no neighbours overlooking.
The place
Lo Canto is a fully renovated 18th-century wine cellar: 120 m² over two floors, including a 60 m² living area opening onto the terrace. Two bedrooms, a bathroom with walk-in shower and bathtub, two separate toilets.
It all sits on a 3-hectare estate, in the middle of the Gaillac vineyards. No neighbours overlooking, no road noise: that's what guests mention most often in their reviews.
Air conditioning is installed on the ground floor; the upstairs bedrooms are equipped with fans. We say so clearly, because it's the kind of detail that spoils an August stay when you only find out on arrival.
The pool
The pool is shared with the owners, who tend to use it in the afternoon. The rest of the time, it is entirely yours. We would rather put it in black and white than let you find out on arrival.
It is open from 1st May to 30 September, and closed from 1st October to 30 April.
⚠️ While the pool is open, we do not accept children under 7. This is a safety decision linked to the layout of the pool, and requests received for this period will be declined. Out of season, when the pool is closed, the question doesn't arise.
Amenities
Who it's for
The layout — two bedrooms, a large living area, a terrace and a huge outdoor space — suits families with children over 7, groups of friends and wine-focused stays. The estate's mini-farm keeps the children busy while the grown-ups taste the Gaillac wines.
More than six of you? Lo Canto can also be rented together with the Lou Pitchoun cottage, taking the capacity to 10 guests, with the estate's pool and the cottage's private hot tub: see The whole estate.
Gaillac is 5 minutes away, Cordes-sur-Ciel 20, Albi 30, Toulouse an hour.
The rules
Non-smoking accommodation, no pets, quiet requested from 10 pm to 9 am.
The estate is reserved for the guests on the booking: we do not allow outside visitors, in particular for insurance reasons around the pool.
End-of-stay cleaning is not included and we charge no cleaning fee: please leave the accommodation clean and tidy — dishes washed or in the dishwasher, bins taken out, beds stripped.
